Description

Located in College Park, Lake Ivanhoe was a popular site for recreational activities, such as boating. Its rich history began with its usage as a pineapple grove and an area for citrus farming in the mid-19th century. In the 1920s, it was developed into George I. Russell's "Russell's Point" amusement park, the first of its kind in Orlando. The postcard pictured was printed by Genuine Curteich-Chicago, a company renowned for advertising city features in the 20th century.
